Reddit commenter on COVID-19 origins and laboratory-origin arguments
Very odd that the place Covid originated from, in China was coincidentally next to the Wuhan institute of virology where they were doing gain-of-function research on SARS (Covid) which was partially funded by US dollars. I’m going with the lab leak theory on this one.

AI Verified The quote is directly about the COMPLETE statement’s core claim—whether COVID-19 came from a lab-related incident versus natural spillover—and it explicitly says, “I’m going with the lab leak theory on this one,” so a determinate stance is substantially more likely than the alternatives. The cited Reddit page confirms this is the author’s own comment in a discussion about SARS-CoV-2’s origin, not an unrelated aside. AI Verified The author explicitly supports the statement: they say the outbreak site being near the Wuhan Institute of Virology is suspicious and conclude, “I’m going with the lab leak theory on this one,” which favors a lab-related origin over natural spillover. AI Verified The quote is authentic. The Reddit comment page shows the author as BooRadleysFriend and displays the exact quoted text at comment o9ltuop, and Reddit’s JSON endpoint for that same comment repeats the same author, body text, and permalink. The JSON also shows created_utc 1773111688, which converts to March 10, 2026 UTC, so the stored author, content, date, and source URL are consistent with the source.
