As the spokesperson of the People’s Party says in this motion, we are dealing with a very important matter. I think that this Chamber is even setting up a working group on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, at the initiative of the People’s Party, in which the parliamentary groups are working actively and in which, of course, we have high hopes. The motion that has been presented can give the impression that the Government of Spain is doing nothing, and that is why it speaks of analyzing, strengthening, continuing... The current situation [...] is that working groups are being developed in which Spain and the rest of the Member States participate to assess the risks of the dual use of artificial intelligence, more specifically of foundational models of generative artificial intelligence. [...] In it, of course, it also sets out the principles for the development, deployment and responsible use of artificial intelligence and—no less important—the resolution of ethical conflicts related to artificial intelligence in the field of defense.
