Data and information, tools and applications enabled by AI will be used to improve the understanding and capabilities of people, not with the aim of replacing them, but to complement them and make it easier for them to add greater value to their activities, while also aligning with the applicable ethical principles. In the near-term horizon, artificial intelligence will be integrated extensively into the activity of the Ministry of Defence, in general, and of the Armed Forces in particular. That integration will be conditional on the use of artificial intelligence always being carried out in an identifiable way, being aimed at increasing effectiveness in the missions and tasks of the department, and being applicable at all organizational levels or in the conduct of operations. The use of artificial intelligence will always be in accordance with national and international law, the ethical principles for AI use, and directed to its area of applicability.
