Chen also expressed support for President Lai Ching-te’s announcement that the benefits of Taiwan’s “AI dividend” would be shared with the public through a universal NT$10,000 cash payment next year. He noted that Taiwan has benefited from the AI industry, with buoyant capital markets and the country experiencing its strongest economic growth in 39 years. Chen said sharing the benefits of economic growth with the public could provide greater support for disadvantaged groups.
