Comment by Reverend Dr. Roger Lee Ray

if we had a basic income wouldn't that inspire you to work rather then take away your incentive? It would keep you from gettign captured in a dead-end job doing the same thing over. Then you would have the courage to go to school, you would have the courage to create new economies.

Disputed Scott Santens’s 4 Dec 2016 post, which says it transcribes a video by Reverend Dr. Roger Lee Ray of Community Christian Church, attributes a closely related passage to Ray, but your wording is not verbatim: the transcript includes a preceding "health care for everyone" clause and uses "rather than taking away," "getting," "over and over again," and "you'd," not "rather then," "gettign," "over," and "you would." YouCongress also carries a shortened typo-ridden version and marks it unverified. So this is based on a real Ray passage, but the exact quote given is materially altered.
