Verification History
AI Verified
Verified. This is a duplicate of the European Commission's 2020 AI White Paper quote (same content/author/source as opinion 8158, verified earlier this session), from "White Paper on Artificial Intelligence: a European approach to excellence and trust" (COM(2020) 65, 19 Feb 2020), matching the commission.europa.eu source_url. WebFetch returned HTTP 403, but web searches corroborated both passages verbatim: "create the right incentives to accelerate the adoption of solutions based on AI, including by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)" and "...digital competences like data literacy." The single [...] is within the allowed limit. The Commission's support aligns "for" the statement "Incentivizing AI adoption in companies to enhance workforce talent"; the EC's vote on this statement is already "for" (aligned). The quote is from 2020 but relevant, so it is kept. As noted when handling the identical opinion 8158, no clean, verbatim, clearly-2026-dated institutional EC quote on this exact topic was found (the closest initiative, the Apply AI Strategy, is dated Oct 2025), so per the no-fabrication constraint no recent quote was added.
