This is a broad subject, debated and debatable, and it is good to talk about it, but the motion, in truth, says little and proposes nothing new or concrete that has not already been decided. In the European Union we already have, at least, a directive and a regulation on this subject. Sometimes it is better to put the bandage on before the wound, so that later it is not too late, and in this area work is already being done because we are already seeing harmful effects from the use or misuse of artificial intelligence. [...] For that, there are the directive and the regulation, which define what the harmful effects are and what controls must be carried out so that this tool has an ethical code. We do not want effects that do not respect human rights, that go against minorities, that harm people and that discriminate against societies—everything that is said in the text, and I agree: it is very good and it is so.
