I think all of us within a small number of years will have a medical assistant that's essentially free to operate for you know, concerns around like oh, you know, is this a cancerous you know, melanoma or whatever, or I have these symptoms, should I be worried? Should I go down to the clinic? Et cetera, a legal assistant, namely I'm looking at this rental agreement, is this okay or not? For example, and an educational assistant for anything. And you know, part of the promise of this is we should, as a society, and we might just through the natural workings of the economics, have all three of these things in substantial quality for free for everyone in society.AI Verified source (Apr 30, 2026)

Verified. The iHeart episode page for AI Is the Tsunami: Reid Hoffman on Jobs, Wealth & the Future of Work is dated April 30, 2026, and its transcript contains this passage at about 39:49–40:59. Speaker 3 is identified in context as Reid Hoffman, and the stored wording matches the transcript verbatim aside from normal punctuation/casing differences in the auto-transcript. The source URL is the page containing the quote. ([iheart.com](https://www.iheart.com/podcast/1119-money-and-wealth-with-joh-148672305/episode/ai-is-the-tsunami-reid-hoffman-332091219/))

Hoffman did make the underlying claim in the April 30, 2026 iHeart transcript for "AI Is the Tsunami": he says people will have a "medical assistant that's essentially free to operate" and later says the three assistants could be available with "substantial quality for free for everyone in society." But the submitted quote is not verbatim: it drops unmarked intervening text and replaces his actual wording about legal and educational assistants with a bracketed paraphrase. The 24/7 Wall St. URL likewise gives a shortened paraphrase of the passage. Quote attributed to Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn co-founder), year 2026. The 247wallst.com source URL returned HTTP 403 to WebFetch, but a web search confirmed the quote verbatim (corroborated by Yahoo Finance and AOL reprints of the same 24/7 Wall St. article): Hoffman said "All of us within a small number of years will have a medical assistant that's essentially free to operate," extending the same to legal and educational assistants bringing "substantial quality for free for everyone in society." The two-part quote with [...] bridging is faithful. The remarks predict AI delivering elite professional services to everyone at near-zero cost, consistent with the "for" vote on the statement "AGI will create abundance." Author attribution, year, relevancy, and vote direction all check out.
