Comment by Ahmed El-Sohemy

Nutrition researcher and coauthor of a 2026 study on genetic modifiers of diet score and LDL cholesterol.
In young adults, higher PDS and intake of its components showed favourable associations with LDL-C. Our findings suggest that ABCA1 rs1883025 and ABCG8 rs6544713 genotypes modify the association of the PDS, plant protein and phytosterols with LDL-C.

Disputed The sentence is real and appears verbatim in the abstract/conclusions for the article tied to PMID 42323221, with online date 2026-05-06. But the paper is a multi-author journal article—Ahmed El-Sohemy is one of 10 listed authors, not the sole speaker—so attributing the quote to him alone is not a valid single-author attribution on this platform.
