Disputed The quoted text appears verbatim in the official GovInfo hearing transcript, but it is part of Brad Wenstrup's opening statement after he recognizes himself, not James Comer's. The transcript lists Comer as only "also present" and later gives him five minutes for questions; the committee's own release also republishes the lines as Wenstrup's prepared remarks. So the quote is authentic, but the stored author attribution is wrong.
