The Independent Film & Television Alliance supports the NO FAKES Act and thanks lead sponsors Senators Coons, and Blackburn, and Representatives Salazar and Dean for their ongoing efforts to pass this bill. This important legislation establishes a federal standardized solution to prevent the unauthorized exploitation of an individual's voice, image and likeness, upholds critical First Amendment safeguards to protect free speech, and includes a key preemption clause.
