[...] “Open-source AI will let terrorists build bioweapons.” [...] At Asilomar Conference, scientists facing the same fear over recombinant DNA didn’t ban the knowledge — they built containment tiers and paused only the riskiest work. Governing use always beats restricting knowledge.
