What has really come through when talking to businesses about their hiring intentions is that, as people leave, they are not replacing them. That means their productivity levels are going up; that is a good news story, but it is a problem for entry-level jobs or for people coming into the labour market. [...] Automation is happening, and there is the use of AI, as we have talked about. I can definitely see that that is a theme through our conversations with businesses.
