AI should not serve as the sole basis for decisions that materially affect a student’s academic standing, progression, financial status, enrollment status, access to university services, disability accommodations, student conduct outcomes, or other significant educational interests. When AI is used to support important processes, appropriate human review, escalation, and accountability must remain in place.
