I support keeping humanity in control of frontier AI, but we need to be thoughtful about how we do it. If governance only applies to public models, we risk pushing the most advanced capabilities into private or specialized systems, beyond independent scrutiny and accessible only to a select few. That could concentrate power without meaningfully reducing risk. Effective oversight must be measurable, verifiable, and applicable across public and private development, while protecting sensitive data. Otherwise, we may slow access without slowing the frontier.AI Unverifiable (Jul 2026)
