There are a wide diversity of opinions on where AI progress goes next and what the future looks like, but regardless of one's beliefs, the option to control the pace of progress if we end up in one of the bad scenarios seems like an incredibly valuable safety net to have in our back pocket, and I believe it is important to support and build that capability now.AI Verified (Jul 2026)
