Human in the Loop is the deliberate placement of human oversight at specific decision points within an otherwise autonomous workflow; where the cost of an AI error exceeds the cost of a human intervention. It is a design philosophy that keeps humans meaningfully in control of agentic AI systems; not to micromanage their every step, but rather to provide oversight where it matters most.
