Comment by Hannah Critchlow

British neuroscientist, author, broadcaster, and science communicator based at the University of Cambridge.
We need to pause all of the research on this, we need to pause all of the application of AI and just sit down and have a proper think about where this is going, where we want it to go, and how we want it to happen and how we want it to be regulated. [...] I think there should be global mandates with very clear outcomes of what happens if people break the agreed mandates. And I think these policies across the world need to come in pretty quickly.
