Come November, large frontier AI developers will be statutorily required to register with the Office of Digital Innovation, Governance, Integrity and Trust (DIGIT) ... and comply with safety requirements. They include reporting of critical safety incidents to DIGIT within 72 hours. [...] The AI safety framework codified through the RAISE Act represents a proactive step in protecting New Yorkers from emerging threats from AI development.
