Indonesia certainly agrees - not necessarily with slowing down AI itself, but with the need to implement 'safety by design' for AI more cautiously, a process that inevitably takes time.

This dialogue provides important momentum to build inclusive, people-centered global AI governance that is oriented toward development and backed by international cooperation.

AI governance must go beyond managing risk. It must also enable countries, particularly developing countries, to harness AI for sustainable development, improve public services, and social inclusion.
