Comment by Dylan Moore

Robotics professional at OpenAI; commenter on the July 2026 Pacing the Frontier statement.
I support the goal of developing tools that give society the option to responsibly pace AI development when necessary. At the same time, the United States should maintain its edge in AI and avoid slowing development while competitors continue to advance. Any meaningful effort to buy time to improve safety, understand economic and social impacts, or strengthen oversight will ultimately need to be internationally coordinated, enforceable, and designed to prevent bad actors or non-participating countries from gaining an advantage.
