As a researcher working on foundation model pretraining at MSL, I see firsthand how rapidly capabilities are scaling and emerging. I believe establishing international cooperation to make sure the technology developed benefits civilization is timely and necessary. The decisions we make, or fail to make, in the next few years may shape the trajectory of this technology for generations. We owe it to the future to get this right.
