Across the industry, commercial pressures in the AI race continue to compound, urging everyone forward at increasing speed. Meanwhile, safety receives reactionary, well intentioned, momentary attention before it's right back to the race again. Slow down does not mean decrease pace of research and development but rather intentionally, as an industry, redirect more of our capabilities towards safety research. Make safety part of the race.
