It's clear that the risks of RSI are no longer a concern for the distant future. They are here now. The guardrails necessary for safety cannot be entrusted to any single private entity but should be decided by a consortium of learned scientists, engineers, and leaders in government accountable to the public so that we build a future that is aligned with the best parts of humanity and not its worst.
