This bill requires deployers and developers to conduct independent audits, submit reports to the Attorney General, and implement risk management programs and policies. These measures are all best practices to ensure any AI system that companies use is safe, fair, and accurate. In particular, EPIC supports the requirement that audits be conducted by independent third parties with no financial stake in the company or outcome of the audit.
