It is now a foregone conclusion that the development of AI will bring about some of the most consequential changes to societies in the coming decades. International coordination is essential to bring about the most ideal future that broadly benefits all of humanity. Building the mechanisms to coordinate, collaborate, and when necessary, deliberate the pace of AI development will be one of the most important, and delicate, challenges we now face. We must simultaneously ensure that this mechanism does not become a tool for the concentration of power in the name of safety.
