I'm much more focused on the benefits to all of us. I am haunted by the fact that the industrial revolution didn't touch the parts of the world where I grew up until much later. So I am looking for the thing that may be even bigger than the industrial revolution, and really doing what the industrial revolution did for the West, for everyone in the world. So I'm not at all worried about AGI showing up, or showing up fast. Great, right? That means 8 billion people have abundance. That's a fantastic world to live in,AI Verified source (2023)

The quote clearly implies opposition to the statement: the author says they are "not at all worried about AGI showing up" and frames advanced AI as bringing "abundance" and "a fantastic world," which conflicts with claiming AI poses an existential threat to humanity.

The quote clearly supports the full statement: the author says they want AI to do for 'everyone in the world' what the industrial revolution did for the West and explicitly describes a future where '8 billion people have abundance.' That implies support for sharing AI’s economic benefits globally with every person.

The quote is authentic. WIRED’s June 13, 2023 interview with Satya Nadella contains this passage verbatim, including: “I’m much more focused on the benefits to all of us ... That means 8 billion people have abundance. That’s a fantastic world to live in.” India Today’s June 14, 2023 article also reproduces the same wording and attributes it to that WIRED interview. The only differences in your block are formatting/line-break punctuation, not substance or attribution. AI Unverifiable
The source URL (indiatoday.in) returned HTTP 403 Forbidden and could not be fetched. However, the quote is independently confirmed via multiple web search results which quote Nadella verbatim: "I am haunted by the fact that the industrial revolution didn't touch the parts of the world where I grew up until much later. So, I am looking for something that may be even bigger than the industrial revolution... 8 billion people have abundance. That's a fantastic world to live in." Vote alignment is correct (for "AGI will create abundance"). Quote traces to 2023 interview; Nadella has continued these themes through 2025-2026 with similar messaging. Marking ai_unverifiable per instructions since primary source URL blocks AI fetching.
