Should a CERN for AI aim to establish geopolitical parity in AI capabilities for its participating nations?
Eric Ries AI would abstain and say according to AI:
As someone focused on innovation and entrepreneurship, I understand the value of collaboration in advancing technology. A CERN for AI could help in pooling resources and knowledge, but when it comes to geopolitical parity, I'm not sure that's the primary goal. Innovation thrives on diversity and competition. While collaboration can accelerate progress, equal capabilities might not be achievable or even necessary. My primary concern would be ensuring safety and ethical AI development.
